The Basics

What is Mugtea?

Mugtea is Velnaura's first ritual — a 2-in-1 whipped cleanser and wash-off mask built around tea tree, mugwort and cucumber. Scoop it and it's a dense, cloud-like mousse. Massage it in and it turns into a rich cream. Add water and it blooms into a light, dense foam. One jar, one motion, three textures.

Is Mugtea a cleanser or a mask?

Both — the difference is just time. Let the whipped paste sit on skin for a minute before adding water and it works like a mask: cooling, cushioning, calming. Massage straight into a lather instead and it's your everyday cleanser. Same formula, two jobs.

Who is Mugtea formulated for?

It's engineered around oily, congestion-prone and breakout-prone skin, with a targeted active system built to support post-breakout skin. The base itself is a pH-balanced, non-stripping syndet system, so while the R&D focus is congestion and clarity, it's built to feel like a comfortable everyday wash rather than an aggressive treatment.

What does "Serious Science, Delightful Delivery" mean?

It's the idea behind Velnaura: clinical skincare doesn't have to feel like a prescription, and a sensory treat doesn't have to be all show and no substance. We engineer the texture with the same rigor as the actives — a dense, structured mousse isn't decoration, it's doing real work — so the ritual and the results come from the same formula, not two products pretending to be one.

Is Velnaura also spelled Velnora, Wellnaura or Valnaura?

Velnaura is the correct spelling of the brand. Velnora, Wellnaura, Velnoura, Valnaura and Velnara are common typos or mishearings of the same name — there's only one Velnaura, and all of them lead here.

Is this a real product, or just a concept page?

Real, and already in R&D — Mugtea has a named technical specification (structured whipped syndet cleanser, targeted pH and rheology windows, a defined active system) that's being developed and heat-tested right now, not a mood board. What's left is finishing pilot batches and locking pricing and launch date, which is exactly what the waitlist exists for — so you're not refreshing the page hoping something changes, you'll just get told the moment it does.

What makes Mugtea different from every other cleanser I've tried?

Most cleansers make you choose: a fun, whipped texture with nothing real in it, or a serious active cleanser that feels like a chore. Mugtea refuses that trade — the same jar that scoops like dessert and blooms into foam is carrying a named PHA + LHA + niacinamide system doing real congestion and pore-calming work, engineered specifically to survive Pakistani heat instead of being an imported formula hoping for the best. You're not paying for a gimmick or a plain wash — you're getting both in one step.

Why Velnaura

Why does Velnaura exist?

We believe your skincare should not feel like a prescription, and self-care should not be just skin-deep. We treat your skin to joyous textures and sensory delights while delivering rigorous, proven topical benefits. "Velnaura is a daily therapy, dressed up as a daily treat."

How does Velnaura actually deliver on "Serious Science, Delightful Delivery"?

First, the whipped texture is real formulation engineering — a structured syndet system move predictably through paste, cream, milk and foam once it meets skin and water — not air whipped into a base for show. Second, every active is named and dosed at a functional level: gluconolactone (PHA), capryloyl salicylic acid (LHA), niacinamide and panthenol, not a vague "with natural extracts" claim. The ritual and the results come from the same formula, on purpose.

What do I actually get — physically and clinically?

Physically: a dense, scoopable whipped mousse that melts into a cream under your fingers and blooms into a light foam with water — one jar, one motion, three textures.
Clinically: a pH-balanced, non-stripping cleanse; gentle PHA/LHA exfoliation to clear congestion and smooth texture; a cooling tea tree, mugwort and cucumber blend to calm redness and post-breakout stress; and niacinamide plus panthenol to support your barrier so you rinse off clean, not stripped or tight.

What skin problems does Mugtea actually target?

Four things people message us about constantly: clogged pores and daily buildup (solved by the balanced syndet cleanse), dull, congested texture from dead skin cells (solved by mild PHA/LHA exfoliation), redness or a stressed, post-breakout feeling (solved by the cooling mugwort, tea tree and cucumber blend), and the tight, stripped after-feel that most "acne cleansers" leave behind (solved by keeping it pH-balanced and non-stripping instead of sulfate-driven). It's built for real, everyday congestion and clarity — not marketed as a cure for severe or cystic acne.

What results can I expect, and how soon?

Immediately: skin that feels calm, cushioned and properly clean, not tight or squeaky. With consistent daily use over several weeks, the PHA/LHA system is designed to support smoother texture and clearer-feeling pores as part of a normal routine. It's a well-tolerated daily cleanser with real supporting actives, not an overnight miracle or an aggressive peel — anyone promising a stubborn breakout gone in three days is selling you a story, not a formula.

Is This For Me?

Is Mugtea good for oily or acne-prone skin?

Yes — this is exactly who it's engineered for. The R&D brief is built around oily, congestion-prone and breakout-prone skin specifically, with the PHA/LHA active system targeting the buildup and dullness that comes with excess oil, while staying pH-balanced so it doesn't push your skin into the over-stripped, over-producing-oil cycle a lot of "for acne" washes cause.

Is it safe for sensitive or reactive skin?

It's formulated to be gentle — a non-stripping syndet base, skin-like pH, and PHA/LHA at supportive rather than aggressive levels, plus calming mugwort and cucumber rather than actives known for irritation. That said, "sensitive" covers a wide range of skin, so if yours reacts easily to new products in general, patch test on your inner forearm for 24 hours before using it on your face, the way you would with anything new.

Can I use it if I have dry or combination skin?

Yes — the barrier-support side of the formula (niacinamide, panthenol, a non-stripping cleanse) is there for exactly this. It's engineered around congestion and breakouts, so if your skin is purely dry with no oiliness or clogged pores at all, you may not need the full exfoliating benefit daily, but the cleanse itself is gentle enough to sit comfortably in a dry or combination routine.

Is it suitable for teenage skin?

Yes, in general — congestion and breakouts are exactly what teenage skin deals with most, and the formula is built to be well-tolerated as a daily cleanser rather than an aggressive treatment. As with any active-containing product used by a younger teen, it's worth a parent doing a quick patch test first if their skin is known to react easily.

Can men use Mugtea too?

Skin doesn't check gender before it gets congested — Mugtea is formulated around skin behavior (oil, congestion, post-breakout stress), not a gendered scent or pastel jar, so it works the same for anyone dealing with those exact issues. It's also a solid post-shave cleanse thanks to the cooling, calming blend.

Is it safe to use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Gluconolactone (PHA) and capryloyl salicylic acid (LHA) are generally considered lower-concern rinse-off actives compared to leave-on retinoids or high-strength BHAs, but we're not doctors and everybody's situation is different. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, the responsible move is the same as with any active-containing skincare: check the full ingredient list with your OB-GYN or dermatologist before adding it to your routine.

Can I use it beyond my face — body or beard area?

It's formulated and tested as a facial cleanser first, so that's where we'd recommend it. Congested skin on the chest, back or a beard-covered jawline behaves similarly enough that a lot of people do extend it there, but until we've specifically tested and labeled it for body use, treat that as your own experiment rather than the documented use case.

I have severe cystic acne — will this be enough on its own?

Honestly, probably not by itself, and we'd rather tell you that than oversell it. Mugtea is engineered for everyday congestion, breakout-prone skin and post-breakout marks as part of a normal routine — real, useful support, not a replacement for a dermatologist-guided plan if you're dealing with cystic or severe acne. It can still be a genuinely good, gentle cleansing step inside that plan; just don't expect a rinse-off cleanser to do a prescription treatment's job.

Can I use it alongside my other actives — retinol, vitamin C, other exfoliants?

Generally yes, since Mugtea is a rinse-off cleanser with a short contact time rather than a leave-on treatment, so it's adding a mild layer of exfoliation on top of whatever comes after it. The one thing worth watching is total exfoliation load — if you're already using a leave-on AHA/BHA or retinol most nights, using Mugtea in mask mode on those same nights can be more than your barrier wants. A simple rule: mask mode on your "rest" days, quick daily-cleanse mode on your active nights.

Will Mugtea cause purging?

True purging — a temporary flare-up from an active genuinely speeding up your skin's natural cycle — is possible with any new PHA/LHA exfoliant, though at the mild levels used here it's an uncommon reaction rather than an expected phase. It should read as small, short-lived breakouts in your usual breakout zones that clear faster than normal, not new irritation, redness or breakouts in places you don't usually get them — that's a reaction, not a purge, and it's a sign to stop and patch test again before continuing.

The Whipped Texture

Why does the texture matter so much?

Because the texture is the delivery system, not a gimmick. Mugtea moves through a specific lifecycle: a self-supporting mousse in the jar, a cohesive cream under your fingers, and a dense micro-foam once water gets involved. Each stage changes how the actives sit on skin — engineered structure, not whipped-up air.

What actually happens when I add water?

The paste is a concentrated network of surfactants and structuring fats holding air in place. Water breaks that structure down in stages: the surfactants hydrate, the network reorganizes into a creamy, spreadable phase, and continued rubbing generates real foam from both the residual air and freshly formed lather — so a dense product still lathers like a proper cleanser, it just gets there through cream first.

Why does it look like whipped cream instead of a gel?

It isn't an aerosol mousse or a whipped gel — it's a high-solids surfactant paste, structured with fatty acids and layered (lamellar) organization, that mechanically holds air in place. That combination is what gives it a self-supporting peak instead of collapsing like a soft cream, and what lets it deflate progressively rather than all at once.

Will it hold its shape in heat?

Yes — heat stability is a dedicated part of Velnaura's R&D, built specifically around Pakistani storage and transport conditions. The formula's structure is tested at elevated summer heat without pushing it toward a hard, waxy or chalky texture at room temperature. The goal is a jar that behaves the same in a Lahore summer as it does on a cool morning.

What's the difference between "whipped" and a normal foaming cleanser?

A normal foaming cleanser is a liquid or gel from the moment it leaves the bottle — you add water and it just gets sudsier. Mugtea starts as a dense, self-supporting paste that has to be physically broken down through touch, spread and water before it ever reaches foam, which is what creates the paste-to-cream-to-milk-to-foam sequence instead of one flat texture. That extra structure is also what lets it hold its shape in the jar without collapsing into a puddle, the way a looser gel or liquid would in Pakistani summer heat.

Does it matter how long the scoop sits before I add water?

Not really within a normal routine — the whole point of the structured paste is that it holds its shape on your fingers rather than collapsing the second it leaves the jar, so there's no rush. If you're using it as a mask and leaving it on skin for two to three minutes before adding water, that's expected and part of the design, not a sign anything's going wrong.

Ingredients & Actives

What actives are inside, and what do they do?

Five things are doing the real work: a balanced syndet base for pore clarity without stripping; PHA (gluconolactone) and LHA for gentle textural renewal; a cooling blend of mugwort, tea tree and cucumber for calming redness and stress; niacinamide and panthenol for barrier support and hydration; and the whipped-to-milk transformation itself, there to make the ritual something you actually look forward to.

What does Mugtea smell like?

Cold, green and clean — crisp cucumber water and fresh green tea up front, a soft leafy mugwort note as you massage it in, and a very light, clean musk underneath. It's built to read as "freshly opened chilled green tea with cucumber," not as a perfume, a medicinal herbal wash, or a pickle jar.

Is the fragrance strong?

Moderate by design, not maximal. The brief behind Mugtea's scent deliberately avoids strong citrus-cleaner or essential-oil intensity — the goal is a light, fresh character that reads as clean rather than announces itself.

Is it gentle enough for daily use?

The formula is pH-balanced to roughly 5.3–5.8, in the same range as healthy skin, and built on a non-stripping syndet system rather than harsh sulfates. It's formulated as a well-tolerated daily cleanser first, with the exfoliating and calming actives layered in as support — not as an aggressive peel.

Is Mugtea vegan and cruelty-free?

The formulation isn't built around any animal-derived ingredients, and it isn't tested on animals during development. We'll confirm final vegan and cruelty-free labeling and any certification marks on packaging once the formula and supplier list are frozen for launch, so treat this as the direction rather than a certified claim just yet.

Is there a fragrance-free version?

Not currently — Mugtea's cold, green tea-and-cucumber scent is part of the sensory ritual, kept moderate by design rather than left out entirely. If you're fragrance-sensitive rather than fragrance-averse, the level is deliberately light; if you need a strictly fragrance-free formula, this specific SKU isn't it, and we'd rather tell you that than have you find out after opening it.

Will I see the full ingredient list before I buy?

Yes — the complete INCI list will be printed on the jar and published on this site once the formula is frozen for launch, the same way every legitimate skincare brand discloses ingredients. We're not going to ask you to buy a face product on trust alone.

Will any of the ingredients clog my pores?

The formula is built specifically for congestion-prone skin, so it deliberately avoids heavy, high-comedogenic oils and waxes — the structural ingredients doing the "whipped" work are fatty acids and surfactants chosen for their structure and mildness, not for richness. As with any product, an individual ingredient can still not suit one specific person's skin, which is exactly what a patch test is for.

Does it contain parabens, sulfates, silicones or drying alcohol?

No sulfates (SLS/SLES) — the cleansing base is a milder syndet system chosen specifically to avoid their stripping effect, and no drying alcohol. The preservative system uses phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin rather than parabens. Full, exact confirmation will sit alongside the published INCI list at launch, the same as the vegan and fragrance details above.

Using Mugtea

How do I use Mugtea?

Scoop a small dollop with clean fingertips. Massage it over dry or damp skin and let the cool, cushiony mousse sit for a moment if you're using it as a mask. Add a splash of water and keep massaging as it turns creamy, then foamy. Rinse clean.

How often should I use it?

It's built to work as your regular daily cleanser. If your skin wants a bit more, leaving the paste on for an extra minute before adding water turns the same step into a short mask treatment — no separate product needed.

How much product is in the jar?

The current Mugtea specification is an 80 g jar — sized as a 2-in-1 cleanser and wash-off mask, not a rinse-and-go liquid, so it lasts through both uses.

How should I store it?

Keep the jar sealed between uses and store it somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun. It's engineered to tolerate hot Pakistani transport and storage conditions without collapsing, but a cool spot always helps any structured, aerated texture hold its shape longest.

Should I use it in the morning, at night, or both?

Both works fine as a gentle daily cleanser, since it's pH-balanced and non-stripping rather than a harsh wash. If you only want one slot, night is the better pick — it clears the day's buildup and gives the PHA/LHA system a chance to work while you sleep, with the two-to-three-minute mask mode reserved for whenever your skin is asking for a bit more.

Where does it go in my routine — before or after other products?

First, always. It's a cleanser, so it comes before toner, serum, moisturizer and sunscreen — its job is to leave a clean, calm base for everything else to actually absorb into, not to sit on top of other products.

Do I still need a moisturizer after, or is this a full step on its own?

Still follow with a moisturizer. Mugtea is built to rinse clean without leaving skin tight, dry or stripped, and the niacinamide and panthenol inside support your barrier during the wash — but a rinse-off cleanser, however comfortable, isn't designed to replace the leave-on hydration step that actually stays on your skin afterward.

Can I use it purely as a mask, a few times a week, instead of a daily cleanser?

Yes — nothing about the formula requires daily use. Plenty of people will reach for it as their everyday wash and occasionally let it sit longer as a mask, but there's nothing wrong with flipping that around: use a lighter, simpler cleanser most days and bring Mugtea out two to three times a week purely for the two-to-three-minute pack mask experience. Same jar, whichever rhythm fits your skin.

Ordering, Shipping & Returns

When can I buy Mugtea, and how much will it cost?

Mugtea is in its final development stage, so pricing and launch timing will be announced soon. The fastest way to hear first is the signup on the homepage — or drop us a note on the Contact page and we'll follow up directly.

Where will Mugtea be available?

Mugtea is launching in Pakistan first. Shipping details and availability beyond that will be posted here and on the homepage as soon as they're confirmed.

Is there a way to get early access or a launch discount?

Yes — the homepage signup is exactly that. The first batch is limited by how much a new production run can actually make, so the waitlist gets first access and first word on any launch-day pricing before it's opened up publicly. If you're on the fence, joining costs nothing and means you're not finding out Mugtea exists the week it sells out.

Why is there a waitlist instead of just buying it now?

Because we'd rather launch a jar that's actually finished than rush a heat-unstable batch out the door to hit a date. The waitlist exists so the people who found Mugtea early are the first ones who get it, the moment R&D and pilot production clear — not an arbitrary hype tactic, just the honest gap between "formulated" and "ready to ship."

What if I don't love it — can I return it?

That's what our Returns & Refunds policy covers in full once orders open, and if a jar ever arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, that's on us to make right, no debate. Read the full terms there before you buy, or message the Contact page if you'd rather ask a person directly.

What payment methods will you accept?

We're finalizing the full checkout options for launch; expect the standard local methods (major cards and cash-on-delivery within Pakistan) at a minimum. The exact list will be confirmed on the order page itself before checkout opens, so nothing's hidden until you're mid-payment.

How long will shipping take once you launch?

Exact courier timelines will be published on our Shipping & Returns page once orders open, since that depends on the final courier partner and your city. As a starting point, expect standard Pakistan-wide courier timeframes for the launch batch, with any delay communicated proactively rather than left for you to chase.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at launch — Mugtea is shipping within Pakistan first while we prove out fulfillment and heat-stable transport at a smaller scale. International shipping is very much the plan afterward, and the fastest way to hear about it the day it opens is the homepage signup.

Is my payment information safe when I order?

Checkout will run through a standard, encrypted payment gateway rather than anything custom-built to handle your card details, and Velnaura never sees or stores full card numbers. Full specifics will sit in our Privacy Policy once checkout is live.

Still stuck? We read every message on the Contact page and reply within 1–2 business days.
