Our Commitment

We want every person to be able to learn about Mugtea, read our journal and place an order independently. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the internationally recognised standard, and we treat accessibility as part of how the site is built, not a layer added at the end.

What We Have Built In

• Keyboard use: every link, button, menu and panel can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a clear focus outline, and a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
• Readable text: body text starts at 17 px, with strong contrast between text and background, and the page zooms and reflows for larger text without losing content.
• Easy targets: buttons and tap areas are at least 44 pixels, which helps touch users and anyone with limited dexterity.
• Calm motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, animations are reduced or switched off and the ritual story does not advance by itself.
• Screen readers: pages use headings, landmarks, labelled form fields, descriptive link text and live announcements for cart and form updates.
• Plain language: short sentences, Title Case headings and no text that depends on colour alone to carry meaning.
• Simple ordering: guest checkout, cash on delivery and no account or password to remember.
• Works on any screen: the layout adapts from small phones to large desktop screens.

How We Check

We run automated accessibility testing with the axe engine on our main pages, review designs against WCAG 2.2 AA before they are built, and test the layout at phone, tablet and desktop widths. Automated tools find many problems but not all, so we also rely on you to tell us what we missed. We re-test whenever we change a page significantly.

The site works in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on Android, iOS, Windows and macOS, and is built to work with the screen readers and zoom tools that come with those systems.

Known Limits

We would rather tell you where we are still working than leave you to find out:

• The three-part ritual story on the homepage advances automatically. You can hold or tap to pause it, but it does not yet have a separate pause button. The story stays still if you have reduced motion on.
• Some product and lifestyle photographs are still being added. Where an image is shown, it carries a text description. Where one is missing, the text beside it carries the meaning.
• The site is currently in English only. Urdu is on our list.
• Secure payment pages and some courier tracking pages are run by other companies, so their accessibility is outside our control. If one of them blocks you, tell us and we will complete the order or track the parcel for you.
• Articles added to the journal in the future may need a little time before every image has a description.

If Something Is Hard to Use

You never need the website to buy from us. Message us on WhatsApp and we will take your order, answer questions about ingredients and use, read out the details, or send them in another format such as a plain-text message or a larger-print file. We will confirm your total before anything is dispatched.

Tell Us What You Found

If you hit a barrier, or have an idea that would make the site easier, please tell us. Say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser or assistive tool you use if you know it. A real person reads every message and replies within 2 working days. We will tell you what we can do and when, and we will fix problems that affect ordering first.

Standards and Scope

This statement applies to velnaura.com and its checkout, account and journal pages. It was prepared on 18 October 2026 and describes our current work and intentions. It is not a legal guarantee that every page meets every WCAG criterion at all times. We review it at least once a year and whenever the site changes in a meaningful way.
